Here is your North Florida Bass Fishing Update:
Captain David Lang had the pleasure of fishing with Mike who was visiting North Florida for bass fishing. Mike is an experienced angler that loves to go bass fishing. He knew all about how productive the fishing could be on the Rodman Reservoir and wanted to explore it. It was not long into his trip that Mike started catching some quality largemouth bass.
The windy conditions made for an interesting day on the water. Mike still enjoyed his 4-hours of bass fishing with Captain David. The largest bass Mike caught weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces which were very close to his personal best. Next time, he will land that fish he is after because that is what Rodman is all about.
Captain David is looking forward to fishing with him again in the future!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Ken Walker had the pleasure of fishing with Micaiah and Leo traveling from Ohio. They were interested in checking out what Rodman Reservoir fishing had offered them. A 4-hour fishing trip turned into one they would never forget.
Micaiah and Leo both caught their personal best largemouth bass on this trip. Sometimes quality and size are more important than big numbers, especially to these anglers. Out of the 10 largemouth bass that was caught, Leo brought in a 7 pound 2 ounce, an 8 pound 2 ounce, and a beautiful 9 pound 1-ounce fish.
Capt Ken Produces
Micaiah was not going to allow Leo to catch all the bass. He came in strong with the biggest bass of the day weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces.
Also, he landed an 8 pound 7-ounce bass that topped off the day for him. Big bass is still being caught and these gentlemen couldn’t be more excited to chase down more fish in the near future!
Captain Ken is looking forward to fishing with Leo and Micaiah again on the Rodman Reservoir!
It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Ken was back on the water for more big bass action. This next one was very special as it was to celebrate a birthday for a young man turning 14. Rodman showed up for this fishing charter. Captain Ken had the pleasure of fishing with Perry, Alex, and Ryan. They were traveling from Minnesota to visit family and wanted to squeeze in some bass fishing.
Well, they did not expect to get a giant present from Mother Nature in the form of largemouth bass. This gift weighed 11 pounds and 13 ounces but did not come in a box. She fought like crazy and was safely released back into the wild. In total, 15 largemouth bass were caught and the action was steady throughout the whole trip. Dad, Perry came in a distant second with his own personal best largemouth bass weighing 8 pounds even.
The good times are Amazing
Long-nosed and spotted gar were also caught on this fishing trip. Fun was had by all and Captain Ken is looking forward to getting back on the water with this lovely family soon!
