Here is your Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Update:

Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Paul on a quick bass fishing trip out of Slims Fish Camp. Morning time during these hotter months is generally the best time to get on the water. Paul wanted to strictly throw artificial baits and Captain Brian made that happen. Sometimes it may take some time to figure them out but once you do, you can land some quality largemouth bass.

The most successful pattern on this fishing trip was a soft-plastic senko. It was one of Paul’s favorite patterns to throw. The main structure that Paul caught his largemouth on was the heavy cover. According to Captain Brian, this was a structure he was not used to. He was excited to learn a new way to catch bass. You can count on always learning something when exploring the waters with our experts.

Paul had a great time fishing Lake Okeechobee. His biggest bass of the trip weighed in the 3-pound range. Captain Brian is looking forward to fishing with him again in the near future!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Brian was back out on the water out of Belle Glade, FL. He had the pleasure of fishing with Eric and his son. It was another quick morning fishing charter and it sure was a blast. On this fishing trip, wild-caught live shiners were the most effective method of catching largemouth bass. This was their first-ever trip to Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee blessed them on this fishing trip. They only had to move twice to find the motherload. The next spot had the perfect conditions with the wind blowing into the grass. This is the perfect spot for a bass to hide and wait for baitfish to blow his way or our live bait. It seemed like every cast yielded some nice largemouth bass. They even caught one weighing over 5 pounds.
