Honey Hole Fishing
Lake Okeechobee is experiencing some excellent Florida Fishing Trips. Get out of the colder weather, travel south, and catch a giant Lake Okeechobee largemouth bass while honey hole fishing. The action is still hot and will continue that way for the next couple of months.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Gary and his brother Farron. We were fishing the West Side of Lake Okeechobee out of Harney Pond. They wanted to come experience what the Big O had to offer them.
While exploring Lake Okeechobee, they wanted to tackle it with artificial and live bait. We started out the day with topwater baits. Success did not come on them since we were experiencing a full moon pattern and fish were locked on beds.
As time went on, we moved our tactics over to wild-caught live shiners. We had to find the right spot in order for things to kick into gear. Luckily, the honey hole was not far away. Once we came into our honey hole fishing spot, the action was non-stop. Gary and his brother pulled a 6 pounder out of there constituting a great day on the water.
It was truly special to get the opportunity to fish with these brothers. We love to be part of quality time with a lot of laughs and smiles. I am looking forward to fishing with these gentlemen again in the future. There are many great fishing opportunities ahead, make sure you get your trips booked soon. We want to hook you up on a fish and trip of a lifetime!
