Captain Joe Gruny had the pleasure of fishing with Howard and Julie on Miami’s Airport Lakes. They were traveling from Minnesota looking to get out on the water and catch some unique to South Florida. Peacock bass was a great option and they were in store for one amazing day on the water. Captain Joe put in some work and got them on some of the biggest peacock bass of the year!

Howard and Julie caught well over 25 exotic peacock bass. It was a blessed day with several absolute giant bass in the boat. Howard caught a 7.27 and 6.45-pound bass, which was monster trophy peacock bass for South Florida. Julie also caught her personal best fish weighing in at 4.62 pounds. The action was non-stop all day.

Howard and Julie had a great day on the water. They are looking forward to coming back to South Florida to catch more incredible fish with Captain Joe!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Joe was back out on the water with repeat clients. He had the pleasure of fishing with John and his good friend Eddie. They were traveling from Wisconsin looking to explore what Miami, FL had to offer. Blue Lagoon was active with big peacock bass being caught. Giant Spring Peacock Bass 3

John and Eddie caught 26 peacock bass on their short fishing trip. The largest weighed in at 5.02 pounds which were Eddie’s personal best bass. Non-stop action allowed everyone to have a lot of fun from the first cast to
the last. Captain Joe is looking forward to their next adventure in the near future!

Capt Bob strike again

That same day, Captain Robert Miley explored Miami’s Airport Lakes. It was an afternoon fishing adventure with great clients Terry and John. They were traveling from Tennessee looking to hook into some awesome freshwater fishing species. These guys had a great time on the water with Captain Bob catching over 14 Florida peacock bass weighing up to 3 pounds.Giant Spring Peacock Bass 1 The trophy bass did not show up and they still were happy with the quality of catches they made.

Weather conditions were stable promoting some great action on the water. Terry and John are looking forward to their next adventure with Captain Bob!
