February Largemouth Bass Fishing Adventure
This is Capt Steve with the fishing report for the St Johns River.
Fishing the Saint Johns River is always an adventure. I had the pleasure of fishing with Al and his buddies from Indiana. It was Al’s second trip recently. They usually come down once a year, so I am glad he has come back for an additional February Largemouth Bass Fishing Adventure.
The fish were a little tricky today. I ran out to a place where I knew they were going to be protecting beds. When the water temperature decreases, it is essential to focus on those structures and places. Also, they like to hold on to the deeper walls.
Our 4-hour trip landed quality fish in the boat. The biggest largemouth bass was 5 pounds 4 ounces. As the sun pushed the cold front away, the bite got better as the day went on.
I am looking forward to them coming back to fish with us again. They were terrific to fish with. Business calls don’t mean you can not squeeze in some fun.
Till next time, this is Captain Steve. Tight Lines!!
