Double Trouble Florida Bass Fishing Trip

Double Trouble Florida Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee is a highly stable fishery that continues to provide quality bass fishing trips. The bass have been biting all season long. Today was a Double Trouble Florida Bass Fishing Trip.

Both of my trips out on Lake Okeechobee were out of the North West side of the Lake. Harney Pond has produced a great artificial and wild caught shiner bite.

On our morning trip, I had the pleasure to fish with Jeff and Henry. The Morning conditions were perfect with the wind calm. We caught a lot of numbers on this trip with most largemouth bass weighing in the range of 2 to 3 pounds.

Jeff caught his personal best weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces. For a young man like himself, that is an impressive fish. This made his trip and I am looking forward to fishing with these gentlemen again.

On our afternoon trip, I had the pleasure to fish with Mark, Tracy and Ryan. They wanted to start with artificial baits with live bait as a reserve.

Throwing swim jigs around grass structure, Ryan caught his personal best largemouth bass weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces.

The wind picked up and we were unable to throw artificial baits anymore. We picked up a couple more largemouth and a couple monster mudfish.

I am looking forward to fishing with both these groups again. They were a blast to fish with.

Summer bass fishing is looking great with the water low and the bass hungry. Do not miss your opportunity to catch schooling largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee.
