Crappie Fishing Harney Pond
Lake Okeechobee has a variety of fish species that you can catch. Most come for the sport fishing of the largemouth bass, while others come to fill up a bucket. Crappie Fishing Harney Pond can make delicious table fare.
Today, I had the pleasure to fishing with Matt and his daughter, Cayden.
Live bait is always successful when it comes to fishing for Crappie or Speck. Big Water Bait and Tackle supplied the minnows needed for the trip.
Crappy were not biting heavily in the morning. We moved around and found some spots.
The lake gave us a blessing this trip. We caught about 40 fish, with a couple of really nice ones.
Matt had a goal to catch a really big one, as he had in the past. We had a few that were pushing into the double-digit-inch range.
Back where Matt is from, he has caught multiple crappies in the 14 to 18-inch range. We could not supply a monster this time, but we always can next time.
Matt and Cayden had an amazing crappie fishing trip at Harney Pond. I look forward to their return to the Big O!
