Catching Bass Using Spinner Baits On The West Side Of The Lake
This is Capt Mark Rogers with the Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Today, we fished out of Harney Pond and the north shore. We were out on the water before daylight, expecting a great topwater bite from the prefrontal conditions. As it turned out, the morning was very slow. We only caught a few small fish, and they even ignored the shiners.
The afternoon turned out to be a lot better, though, with a little bit of cloud cover and a little bit of wind, and the bite on the spinnerbaits turned out to be very good.
We didn’t catch any monster fish, but we did catch some very good-quality fish, and we had a lot of fun.
Later this week, we are going to have a full moon, so we are planning for a lot of big fish to move. Let’s get your favorite bait for largemouth bass and catch that fish of a lifetime.
That’s it for now. For all your fresh or saltwater fishing adventures, go to BassOnline and start the new year with a bass fishing trip on the famous Lake Okeechobee. This is Capt Mark. Until next time, tight lines, everyone.
For most of my life fishing has been a passion. Over the years I have fished bass tournaments across Pennsylvania and on lakes and rivers up and down the East Coast. I have participated in B.A.S.S., FLW Stren Series, Walmart BFL’s, and ABA tournaments along with finishing 2nd in the 2012 Keystone Bass Classic on Lake Erie, to name a few.
