February Largmouth Bass Fishing Adventure

This is Capt Steve with fishing report for the St Johns River.

Fishing the Saint Johns River is always an adventure. I had the pleasure to fish with Al and his buddies from Indiana. It was Al’s second trip recently. They normally come down once a year, so I am glad he has come back for an additional February Largmouth Bass Fishing Adventure.

The fish were a little tricky today. I ran out to a place where I know they were going to be protecting beds. It is important to key in on those structures and places when the water temperature decreases. Also, they like to hold on the deeper walls.

Our 4 hour trip landed quality fish in the boat. The biggest largemouth bass was 5 pounds 4 ounces. As the sun pushed the cold front away, the bite got better as the day went on.

I am looking forward to them coming back to fish with us again. They were amazing to fish with. Business calls but that doesn’t mean you can not squeeze in some fun.

Till next time, this is Captain Steve. Tight Lines!!
