Quality Florida Fishing Bite
Winter months have drawn many individuals to travel to Florida for warmer weather. Even in Florida, we get cold fronts but it is nothing like the ones the North is dealing with. When this occurs, a quality Florida fishing bite turns on.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Curt. He was traveling from Massachusetts to experience Lake Toho Bass Fishing in Kissimmee, Florida. Curt really enjoyed the warmth Florida had to offer.
One of the best things about Florida Bass Fishing is the variety of different ways you can catch them. Most days, wild-caught live shiners are the most effective methods in producing a big bite. On many other days, you can catch bass flipping mats or throwing a variety of other baits. The flipping bite was strong on this fishing trip.
Conditions were most definitely tougher than normal. Winds were picking up and you could feel a front moving in. Waves were up to 3 feet as well. We tucked away in a spot that was producing a good bite. As the sun shined, the bite got even better.
Curt had a great day on the water though. He caught 20 largemouth bass weighing up to 4.5 pounds. He didn’t mind how he caught them as long as he put them in the boat. I look forward to fishing with him again in the future.
