First Time Personal Best Fishing Trip

First Time Personal Best Fishing Trip

Fall is the perfect time of year to catch a big smallmouth bass here in Pennsylvania. A First Time Personal Best Fishing Trip will keep you excited to come back for more of this incredible action.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with Ben and Mike traveling from Virginia to experience Lake Erie for the first time. Early morning and late in the afternoon produced some great bites

We caught a lot of smallmouth bass in the depth range of 6 to 20 feet. Hammermill to Shades Beach were the areas of focus.

A variety of techniques from spinnerbaits, drop shot to a Ned rig caught them up. The bite will continue to pick up with the cooler weather. The water temperature was holding at 65 degrees.

Ben and Mike caught multiple fish over 4 pounds. They also caught their personal best smallmouth bass weighing over 5 pounds.

It was an exciting day for them with beautiful weather that you could not beat. They are looking forward to coming back in the future.
