Eel Grass Bass Fishing
When you come to Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing, you are on the hunt for the biggest and best fish you can catch. Sometimes it is just a blast to catch some great numbers of quality bass instead of that monster fish. Enjoy an Eel Grass Bass Fishing trip next time you are visiting.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Paul and Ethan out of Slims Fish Camp. The south end of Lake Okeechobee has been looking beautiful this time of year. We started out the day fishing artificial baits.
The morning artificial bite was not so strong on this trip. Paul and Ethan switched over to wild-caught live shiners and the magic began. Eelgrass was the main structure we focused on. Swim jigs and stick worms were picked up later in the trip once the sun was out.
Paul and Ethan caught over 25 largemouth bass on their trip out with the biggest bass weighing up to 4 pounds. It is looking like we are going to have a strong season here on Lake Okeechobee. Most of the fish we caught were males getting the beds ready for the females.
When it gets too cold up north, come on down south to the warm and catch a fish of a lifetime! I am looking forward to our next adventure. Until next time, tight lines!
