Captain Mike Morse is a fantastic local expert that is highly knowledgeable on several chains of lakes here in Central Florida. He had the pleasure of fishing with Chris and his dad Jim. They were traveling to Florida looking for an outdoor experience. Bass fishing was something they always enjoyed.

Artificial baits came in strong on this fishing trip. All the fish were caught on soft-plastic worms. Chris and Jim were throwing a 10” ribbon tail worm over grass flats and the bass were loving it. It was a slower bite but when one would commit, it was a quality one.

Chris got to land his personal best largemouth bass on this fishing trip. It weighed over 6 pounds. Nothing beats a day like that one the water. Chris and Jim had a fantastic time fishing on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Steve Niemoeller explored the Butler Chain of Lakes in Orlando, FL. He had the pleasure of fishing with Steve who brought along his son Devan. They repeated clients from last year that wanted to come back and see what Florida bass fishing had to offer this time. It was Devan’s birthday, so they worked hard at getting him on some nice large.

They fished Lake Toho last year and wanted to change it up. The Butler Chain was a great option for them. If you are looking to put some numbers on the boat, this is your fishery. Steve and Devan caught over 30 largemouth bass on their fishing trip. No big bass made it to the boat but they had fun reeling in fish all trip long.

Captain Steve is looking forward to their adventure next year!
