Airport Main Lake Fishing for Peacock Bass in Miami Florida

Airport Main Lake Fishing

Florida is the perfect place to visit when you want to hook yourself into some excellent bass fishing. When it comes to fishing for exotics, Miami is the only destination you need. Enjoy a Airport main lake fishing trip next time you are traveling to South Florida.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Isaac and his brother in law Donald. They were traveling from Chicago on a break from fishing in the Construction field. Our main focus was to catch a decent number of exotic peacock bass.

Airport Lakes or Blue Lagoon has been fishing producing excellent fishing. Our main focus was on the main lake in deeper water. Warming trends made for some great action on the water.

Isaac and Donald caught big numbers of peacock bass on their 6 hour fishing trip. Domestic shiners were the most productive bait to catch them. We could not find the giants we were hoping for on this trip.

The fishing is only getting better as things consistently warm up here in South Florida. Peacock Bass love the warm weather and this is the perfect time to catch a big fish. Don’t miss out on your adventure and we will see you on the water next time!
