Florida Fishing Trip Christmas Present
This is Capt Steve with todays fishing report for the St Johns River fishing report for last couple days.
I guided Tim from Memphis Tennessee. He gave himself a Florida fishing trip Christmas present to come down and fish on the St John’s River with me. We had a great time, the first day we had fish up to about 5 pounds. Matter of fact, we had a couple of them about 5 pounds. I taught him how to run the shiner, by split tail hooking them and running back up under the vegetation matts where the big fish live. He was a little bit intimidated at first, but he picked up on it pretty quickly. He had a good time doing that, so we did that for 2 days. The second day wasn’t as productive as the first day, as for catching but it was still very productive and we had a good time.
Looking forward to fishing with him again, I believe he going to come back sometime in the spring or maybe early summer to do some artificial sessions with me. I was telling him about the striper fishing and largemouth fishing in the main river channel during the summer how it’s a lot of fun on artificial. That sounds like a good time for me and him both and I look forward to seeing him come back again.
