Two Personal Best Largemouth Bass Caught Fishing Lake Okeechobee

Bass Caught Fishing Lake Okeechobee

Hello, this is Capt Mark Rose with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

I had the pleasure of fishing out of the South East Corner of Lake Okeechobee today. Traveling from Massachusetts, Joe and Nick had a great time Fishing at Lake Okeechobee.

The fish were biting today and have been consistently active. The conditions were calm in the morning but it did get windy in the afternoon. The bite never stopped.

We ran through the shiners like they were nothing. The biggest fish was 7 and a half pounds, with 2 fish also over 6 pounds and one that was 5 pounds. It was an exceptional day.

The snow and wintry conditions had Joe and Nick glad they were in the Florida sun. We caught a lot of fish today, putting 40 largemouth bass in the boat.

Fishing Lake Okeechobee was so good a 4-hour trip turned into a 6-hour trip. I had a blast with them today and I am looking forward to fishing with them again.
