Lake Toho Largemouth Bass Fishing Charter Birthday Surprise

Lake Toho Largemouth Bass Fishing Charter Birthday Surprise

This is Capt Steve with fishing report for the Lake Toho.

People ask me sometimes how do you surprise people? My response is always, “get them a fishing trip!” Nilo’s birthday was coming up and his wife Jen surprised him with a trip of a life time. I had the pleasure to guide their children as well, Trevor and J. It was surely going to be a interesting Lake Toho Largemouth Bass Fishing Charter Birthday Surprise.

Sadly, it was cold to start this morning but it warmed up pretty quickly. We trolled some shiners and we did pretty decent. We did not catching anything giant but quality for sure.

Trevor caught the first one at right around 4 1/2 pounds. We brought in about half dozen or so throughout the day. We released them of course.

Right when we were about to go it got windy and cold again. I had to make a quick move to a cove that I knew could produce another decent bite. We got to the cove and dropped the trolling motor. As we slowly peeked into the cove, I casted a free floating shiner to the back of it. I handed the rod off and I just had a feeling something was going to happen.

Right as I turned my back, Nilo said he was feeling. The key when it gets cold is to allow them to really eat it. I guided him and he landed the last fish of the day.

It was a great trip and they were troopers for the weather that we were experiencing. We had a lot of fun and they just moved here from Alaska, so the weather did not bother them. They have not acclimated quite yet but it will happen sooner than later.

That was a successful Fishing Charter Birthday Surprise.
