Today, on Daniel’s 15th birthday, I had the pleasure of fishing with him. He received the gift of his life.

Wild wild-caught shiners are the most influential bait for largemouth bass and for catching trophy largemouth bass. We got a few bites early on with no giant insight.

I had to deliver an excellent gift for this young man, something he would remember. I took him to one of my secret spots. We put on one of those magical shiners to see if it would produce.

It produces the fish we were hoping for, weighing 9 pounds. It was an absolute trophy largemouth.

We had a great day on the water, one that Daniel will never forget, and I am glad I could be part of it. I am looking forward to fishing with them again in the future.
