April Lake Okeechobee Update

April Lake Okeechobee Update

Lake Okeechobee has been a fantastic place to fish every day this season. Here is an April Lake Okeechobee Update from Slims Fish Camp in Belle Glade, Florida.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with Travis traveling from Texas. They wanted to see what Florida Bass Fishing has to offer. This was a true Outdoor Adventure for Travis as this was his first time on Lake Okeechobee.

We slammed a few largemouth bass throwing artificial early in the morning. The bass was stacked up on reed heads.

Travis was amazed at the amount and quality of largemouth here on Lake Okeechobee. We had a great day out on the water. Travis caught about 40 fish, the most giant weighing 5 pounds 8 ounces. He caught numerous other bass in the 4 to 5-pound range.

I am looking forward to his return back to Florida soon.
