8 Pound Bass On Lake Toho

This is Capt Steve Niemoeller with the fishing report for Lake Toho; this morning, I had a 4-hour trip today with some guys from the UK Andy, Steve, Todd, and Chris came over from the UK to try their hands at catching an 8 pound bass today. They never fished much with wild shiners as we got over, so we took them out today and had a perfect day.

I caught a fish on the first cast but didn’t get a bait on the second line before we had a fish in the boat. In the first 5 mins, we had 3 in the boat. It was just a fantastic morning. We ended up catching 27 fish, we had an 8 pound bass on Lake Toho, which put another one in the trophy catch, and Chris caught it. We had two more right at the 6-pound range; it was a fantastic day.

I’ve been lucky the past few days catching one on the first cast that doesn’t happen very often, but I’m sure glad it did. The wind was just very light; the sun was shining all day.
