Wesley all the way from Texas on the Rodman Reservoir today

Hi, this is Captain Steve Niemoeller with a Rodman Reservoir fishing report for today.

I guided Wesley all the way from Texas on the Rodman Reservoir today. The trip started out pretty good, we had a nice bass on a buzz-bait right off the start. Then we caught a couple of more bass by dragging wild shiners behind the boat as we fish artificially. Of course, we ended up losing a few, but that’s why they call it fishing and not catching…lol

About mid-morning it started to slow down, the fish seem to very finicky I am certain it had to do with the first cold front of the year coming down. The bass we did catch were quality, the fishing will get much better in the coming weeks. The bass will acclimate themselves to the new temperatures and start eating up for the winter.
