Ronnie from JB Fish Camp is out Fishing at Harris Chain
This is Captain Steve Niemoeller from Bass Online, reporting on today’s fishing trip on the Harris Chain of Lakes.
I took Ronnie from JB Fish Camp out and for the first 3 hours, we fished shiners. We had two chasers and Not a taker. The shiner bite over there has been offal slow, so we decided to pick up the flipping sticks. We put on a Bass Assassin Tapout bait and started with the Junbug color with a blue tail and also the black Tapout with a blue tail.
We caught (3) three fish right off the bat, then we ended up changing over to the Tapout in the Houdini color. I did cut it down to about a (4″) four-inch size like I have been lately with all my baits. Using a little shorter one, in the next hour and a half, we caught another (15) fifteen bass. So all in all today, we had (17) seventeen to (18) eighteen bass up to about (3-1/2 lbs) three and a half pounds. But all of them came on a flipping bite, couldn’t get anything else on the shiners. Did drag a shiner along behind us all day, but did not get a taker on the shiner!
We had a good day all in all, and look forward to taking Ronnie from JB Fish Camp back out again here soon. Before the hunting season gets going here, I know he wants to go at least one more time.
If you wanna book a trip with me, give me a call...Thank you.
