You will never forget their voracious fight as they peel drag off your rod. Bring the whole family along for a fishing adventure of a lifetime with our local experts.

Local Expert and Captain Mark Rose had the pleasure of fishing with John, his wife, and son Ethan in Naples, Florida. They were after exotic peacock bass in the Golden Gate Canal System. Last year was their first adventure here and they had a fantastic time. Now they are back for more action and it was another amazing trip on the water.

The Golden Gate Canals are filled with exotic peacock bass along with several saltwater species that transferred over to freshwater. One of the most unique parts about this fishery is the ability to catch Snook. John caught his first-ever Snook on this trip. It weighed 7 pounds and he was incredibly excited, according to Captain Mark.

John and Ethan also caught several-quality peacock bass. Ethan got his personal best peacock bass weighing over 4 pounds. The action and bite are strong here in Naples and now is the time to fish for them.

Warm weather trends have allowed great fishing conditions. John and Ethan will be back for more of this action in the future. Captain Mark is looking forward to their next adventure!

Hard to get better

Naples Friendly Peacock Bass 1Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark adventured out again on the Golden Gate Canals. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with a repeat and long-time client of Bass Online, Ron Powers. Ron loves to catch peacock and largemouth bass. Naples, FL was the best destination to catch both at the same time.

Ron caught several-quality bass on this fishing trip of both species. He caught his personal best peacock bass weighing 4.5 pounds measuring in at 19 inches. The best catches and fish are taken on live bait.

Most of the fish are caught on the main stretch of the canal system and under bridges. Find great structure and you will find the fish. Get out with a local expert to show you the best methods for catching bass. Ron would highly recommend Captain Mark or any of our experts here at Bass Online. Naples Friendly Peacock Bass 2
