First class trip Went out on Erie with Capt mark rose today. This was my second time fishing with mark and will not be my last. To put it simply the dude puts you on the fish. You also fish in comfort out of his big ranger multi species. Handles the big water chop smoothly, so don’t let a little wind scare you off. Can’t wait to get back out there!

Lake Trout on Lake Erie Mark knows where when and how to catch these 15 to 30 pound monsters. He took Ed and I out yesterday December 5, 2022. We found lots of Lakers in about 18 feet of water. Used scented jugs and caught them continuously! It will wear your arms out.

I am originally from Florida and have fished a little there but Mark made fishing the Great Lakes a BLAST! As soon as we made it to the spot we were on the fish from the first cast! Huge lake trout Captain Mark worked with me on rescheduling 3 times due to fowl weather on Lake Erie . WOW! It was worth it. Lake Erie Bronze backs My fall fishing trip this yr was a cold windy day on lake Erie. Capt Mark Rose with his new Ranger boat was putting us on fish as usual. The fishing was a little slow but they were there just not real hungry. We did manage some nice fish even though the conditions were tough. Mark was the professional as always and gave us a greta day on the lake to finish the seson. If you come to Erie and need a guide there is only 1 guy by far that I would go with. Ive been going with mark a couple times a year for the last 5 yrs. and always catch nice smallys which is my goal. Thanks Mark

We managed to pull some nice bronze backs in one of his holes early on and as the lake settled a little Mark was able to get us to another one of his spots. Oil City Smallmouth Trip The weather didn't allow us to to get out on Lake Erie so Captain Mark said we needed to make an audible and drive south. We did and it was a fantastic trip boating over 30 smallmouth out of the river.

Captain Mark is the fish whisperer!!! Before our trip started Captain Mark said it was going to be a tough day. Captain Mark is the fish whisperer!!! Before our trip started Captain Mark said it was going to be a tough day. We must have different definitions of tough because he put us over the fish and it was up to us to put them on the boat. We only caught about 10 but the smallest one was probably high 3lbs. The quality of lake Erie smallmouth made up for the lack of quantity. If you've never gone out on lake erie, do yourself a favor and book a trip.

Initially I was disappointed, but our guide Mark took us back into some hidden spots in a cove to fish for large mouth and we crushed it. Bass Fishing Erie We started out planning on going out into deep water for small mouth, but the weather turned on us and we had to turn back. Initially I was disappointed, but our guide Mark took us back into some hidden spots in a cove to fish for large mouth and we crushed it. September trip I took my 2 brothers with captain mark rose on an Erie trip. Mark was very honest about the conditions which were not yet gavorable for a consistent smallie bite but our plans weren’t flexible so we went. Mark has a beautiful comfortable 23 foot ranger boat w a 350 outboard that got us to the fishing area 5 miles offshore very quickly. He had state of the art electronics and excellent rods and reels. We made multiple drifts over s reef where there were many marks in the graph and we caught 30 or 40 sheepshead up to 9 pounds. Not exactly what we were aiming for but lots of fun nonetheless. My one brother caught a ob smallie over 5. My other brother lost a larger one when it took to the air. Overall it was a great trip. I would highly recommend a trip with mark to sample the amazing fishery that is Lake Erie and would try to arrange a spring or fall fishing trip for more consistent smallie action. I have been on many guided trips and this was by far the best equipped boat and the best equipment I have have ever sampled. The prices are reasonable and booking thru the website was very easy.

Great trip in a tough time of year Despite a tough time of year on Lake Erie, Capt. Rose kept us on fish and helped us have great days. Largemouth, pike, smallmouth, scaly cat (and even an occasional drum)... they all fell to our group of four. Found Captain Rose online Found Captain Rose online while looking for bass guides in Lake Erie, Erie PA area for a trip we were planning. Scheduling was easy and the office staff was helpful and kind. Mark called us the night before and spoke about the plans for our 2 day trip. The possibly largest bass boat on the market was really nice with upgraded electronics that helped the Captain get us on fish quick. Being that our trip was planned right at the end of the smallmouth season, Capt. Rose tirelessly fought to get us on many smallmouth bass. More actually than I was expecting. I have used other guides in the past along the east coat and this trip was by far the best we have been on. And the fish were really good sized. Overall he was very easy to work with and worked hard to make us have a memorable trip for the 2 days we were with him. We do plan on coming back in the fall or spring when smallmouth is at its peak. In the 2 day, 6 hour daily, trips we were out. We caught about 40 fish, with 30 plus of them being smallmouth. The others were 3-4 largemouth and 5-6 drum. And 1 bowfin. Several of the smallmouth were easily in the 4# plus and a couple over 5#. I would highly recommend Captain Mark Rose if you are looking for a guide for smallmouth in the Lake Erie, Erie PA area. I know he fishes many other areas, but this was the area we used him in.

Topwater Bass I booked a 1/2 day fishing with captain Mark Rose. The weather was nasty with blowing winds and rain in the forecast but that didn't stop Captain Mark from finding the fish. We fished with topwater lures over weed beds in protected areas of the bay. Topwater Bass I booked a 1/2 day fishing with captain Mark Rose. The weather was nasty with blowing winds and rain in the forecast but that didn't stop Captain Mark from finding the fish. Fishing Erie Capt Mark took us out to Lake Erie. The wind was rough so we couldn't go to the big lake. We instead fished the bay. Capt Mark brought live crawfish for bait. It worked out great. We caught a couple of smallmouth, several largemouth, a drum, and a walleye. The boat was good and Capt Mark was very helpful. The fishing gear was Top of the Line! We are hoping for a trip to Florida soon,

Better than expected We thought going in the dog days of summer would not be productive for smallmouth. Captain Mark prove that wrong! We woke up to 40 degree temperatures and severe storms closing in. An hour into our day we got chased off the lake by lightning. After some early lunch and killing time in a local sporting goods store, we got back on the water in the early afternoon and he put us on the fish.
