First Time Bass Fishing On The St Johns River

First Time Bass Fishing On The St Johns River

This is Capt Steve Niemoeller with the fishing report for the St Johns River.

I guided Tom and Dana it was their first time out on St Johns and they really liked it the water was a little high but they still thought it was really interesting and we ended up having a pretty nice day.

We caught a dozen bass and Dana caught her biggest at 4.6 pounds we caught a few schooling fish on a Steel Shad lure and we caught a few on shiners running them along the edge of the mats or underneath the mats right along the edge.

I hope to see them again I think they are thinking about coming down again in April so we will hopefully catch some bigger fish next time, this is Capt Steve for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline.
