Captain Mark Rose is an exceptional guide on Lake Erie. He had the pleasure of fishing with a member of our Bass Online family, Captain Rick Mitchell. Captain Rick brought along his brother-in-law on this fishing adventure. This was going to be their first time visiting and fishing in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Captain Mark had to take them out fishing while they were visiting. Luckily, the bite was on and they caught a great number of fish. Rick caught a lot of fish on the ned rig with the Z-man in Goby and his brother caught them throwing a Galidas Grub. The best colors have consistently been skipjack and chartreuse. The biggest smallmouth bass weighed close to 5 pounds.
Rick and his brother had a great time fishing on Lake Erie. Captain Mark is looking forward to spending another great day on the water with these guys!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark adventure back out on Lake Erie. He had the pleasure of fishing with Fred and his wife Susan on a two-day fishing adventure. They are repeat clients that have been fishing with Captain Mark in the past in Florida. A passion for fishing drove them to explore what their surroundings had to offer.
Captain Mark suggested exploring Lake Erie out of Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA. The artificial bite was on fire during this fishing trip. Smallmouth bass were launching the topwater baits out of the water during the early morning hours. They also caught bass on ned rigs and drop shots.
Lake Erie is a very active place, especially during these summer months. You never know what you will catch. Fred and Susan had a blast catching smallmouth bass along with a large drum. They had an exciting time on the water and are looking forward to coming back in the fall to catch more bass.
