Capt Mark Rose is a very knowledgeable guide on Lake Erie. Spending his summer months in Pennsylvania in his hometown near Lake Erie provided him access like no other. When you step on board Captain Mark’s boat, you are destine to have a great time with your family or loved ones.

Matt and his son adventured out Bass Fishing Lake Erie with Captain Mark. Their main focus was to land several quality smallmouth bass. One of the great things about this fishing trip was that they got to see different parts of Lake Erie. They traveled 11 miles northeast of Presque Isle Bay where the bass were biting.

It wasn’t long after pulling up to the spot that we started landing fish. Matt and his son caught some nice smallmouth bass. Most of the bass were in the range of 3-4 pounds. Matt’s son caught one of the biggest weighing up to 4 pounds. All the bass were caught on artificial baits on this fishing charter. The bass were on the bottom and ate mainly drop shots and ned rigs. These late summer months called for dark baits in around 15-22 feet of water.

Matt and his son are looking forward to coming back and getting hooked up on another smallmouth bass fishing adventure. They had a great time with Captain Mark Rose. You can’t beat the upcoming months and the chance to catch some quality smallmouth bass.
