Captain Mark Rose had the pleasure of fishing with Ron Powers and his good friend Rockie. Ron is a long-time repeat client and brings down friends every trip making for fun times on the water. They were located in Fort Myers making the Golden Gate Canal System the perfect destination for their fishing trip. The canals had a great day in store for them.

While Rockie was visiting, he really wanted to catch and see a peacock bass. It would be his first time catching one. Ron took him out on an adventure to catch them. Captain Mark got both Ron and Rockie on some quality peacock bass on this fishing trip. The trick was to use a drop shot rig with live bait. If you keep it close to structure, it provides even better chances to land some quality bass.

The weather conditions were warm making for constant action in the canals. Rockie is looking forward to his next fishing trip here in Florida. Captain Mark is also looking forward to getting him on his next big bass!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark was back on the water in the Canal System. He had the pleasure of fishing with Lance and his father Daryl. While they were visiting Florida, they wanted to land some quality peacock bass. It would be their first time catching the colorful exotic peacock bass. Captain Mark Rose got them on their first peacock bass and some quality ones.

Lance and Daryl had a lot of fun catching bass on this fishing trip. They were amazed on how hard the peacock bass fight along with their beautiful colors. This awesome father-son duo also caught a few bonus largemouth bass to add to their great fishing trip. Captain Mark really enjoyed helping them cross a species on their bucket list.
