I had the pleasure of fishing with Larry Ledford traveling from South Carolina to catch some largemouth bass. Larry loves to fish and truly wanted to experience what Central Florida has to offer.
Peppergrass has been a key structure holding largemouth bass. Dragging shiners through the grass has enticed a key bite. Larry had a great day and caught 15 quality largemouth bass weighing up to 4.5 pounds.
He also caught them on Bass Assassin shad colored swimbaits and the “vapor shad.” These baits will continue to work as the weather and water begin to cool. The bass will begin to school on the main lake points making them easy to target.
At this point, we will start to see more quality with the quantity we are seeing right now. Larry had a great time out on the water and I am looking forward to fishing with him again in the future.
