December Naples Holiday Fishing 1Honestly, I really enjoy fishing with travelers. It is always great to have people come from across from many different locations to end up fishing here in Southwest Florida. I had the pleasure of fishing with Nick and his family. They were traveling from Ontario Canada looking to have some fun.

While doing so, Naples peacock bass fishing was something that piqued their interest. As a result, I took them out to the Golden Gate Canal System to explore what it had to offer.

They loved the urban feel to this fishery. It is truly unique and a great time to fish. They caught over 10 bass on their quick 4-hour fishing trip. Nick and his family had a blast catching peacock bass and largemouth bass with live domestic shiners.

Sunny conditions made for a great bite. Nick and his family will be back again soon for more action. I am looking forward to seeing them on the water next time! – Captain Rick Mitchell

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Nick Pasquarello was out on the water!

“Fishing for peacock bass can be a really exciting time. Unfortunately, though, the fishing conditions play a major role in how the day is going to turn out.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Andrew. He was on a solo mission to land some beautiful peacock bass in Naples, FL. While visiting from Toronto Canada, freshwater fishing was a must. Luckily, the Golden Gate Canal was not very far and the perfect spot to fish.

The day started out slow due to some cool night-time weather. Once the surface temperature rose, the fish started to bite. You never really know what is going to happen until you’re out on the water in the mix.

My knowledge allowed me to move around and find the best fishing spots. Andrew caught over 15 bass on this fishing trip. He enjoyed catching peacock bass and largemouth bass on this fishing trip. Most of the fish caught were in the 2-pound range.

I am looking forward to getting back out there for more action soon!” – Captain Nick Pasquarello December Naples Holiday Fishing 4
