Big Bass Day on Lake Okeechobee

Big Bass Day on Lake Okeechobee

Today, I had the pleasure to fish with a great fisherman and friend Andy from Canada. It was gonna be a Big Bass Day on Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee has been fishing wonderfully this time of year.

We started out throwing artificial around the peppergrass and picked up a couple of decent fish. The bite slowed after this but it wasn’t before long it picked back up.

Cloud cover rolled in and we pulled up to a spot that was looking good. Andy caught a couple of 3 to 4-pound fish.

All of a sudden they turned on and we started putting really quality fish in the boat. The 5 biggest fish weigh upward of 30 pounds.

Catching multiple 6 pounders, Andy had a great day on the water.

It was a phenomenal day out on Lake Okeechobee and I am looking forward to fishing with Andy again.
