April Trophy Bass Fishing 1Captain Ken had the honor of fishing with David. David was traveling to the Rodman Reservoir from Pensacola, Florida. It may have been a drive, but it was well worth it for the action he had received. Windy conditions may have changed plans but did not stop the big bass from biting. Due to heavy winds, Captain Ken and David were forced out of one of the best spots.

After moving into a protected area, they proceeded to catch largemouth. It was a quick 4-hour morning fishing charter. David caught nine largemouth bass, with his personal best being one of them. It was a trophy largemouth weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces. Also, David caught an older thin post-spawn female weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces.

David had a fantastic time catching bass on the Rodman Reservoir. Captain Ken is looking forward to returning to the water with David shortly!

Shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Ken was back on the water. He had the honor and pleasure of fishing with Mike and his Uncle Joe. Rodman Reservoir was always one of those fisheries they both wanted to experience for big largemouth bass. They both landed their personal best bass. Joe beat his best by 3 pounds weighing in a trophy fish at 8 pounds 3 ounces.

April Trophy Bass Fishing 2Mike caught his personal best just 10 minutes after Joe did. This largemouth bass was in a spawning phase and was an absolute GIANT fish. It was what everyone dreams of when they came to Florida. Joe caught the biggest bass of his life, weighing in at 11 pounds 6 ounces. This is what the Rodman Reservoir is all about!!

Rodman Doesn’t Disappoint

Mike and Joe had a legendary day on the water and will certainly be back as soon as possible to land some more quality bass!

Finally, Captain Ken enjoyed exploring the waters of the Rodman Reservoir’s repeat clients, Barry and Gene. Barry was traveling from Jacksonville, and his friend Gene was traveling from Connecticut. The bite was slightly slower than the previous trip, but some more giant bass were caught.

Barry and Gene went out on a quick 4-hour fishing charter. It was not long until they found the bass they were after. Barry caught the same Rodman Reservoir largemouth bass twice in one trip. It weighed in at 12 pounds 8 ounces. The dorsal fin was injured, so they knew it was the same fish. Gene also caught several quality bass weighing 6.8 and 6.12 pounds.

April Trophy Bass Fishing 3One of the best parts about being a Captain is getting your clients on their personal best largemouth bass. Barry and Gene are looking forward to getting back on the water shortly!
