World famous Lake Okeechobee with Rod Squire

Hey, this is Capt Brett with yet another Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

I was out on World famous Lake Okeechobee with Rod Squire from Ontario Canada. We throw artificial lures all day, his biggest fish for the day was a bass weighting (6lbs – 2oz) six pounds two ounces. We landed about (15) fifteen largemouth bass, the sizes were anywhere from one to four pounds.

The pattern today on the lake was swimming Bass Assassin Die Dappers, although we were swimming them down deeper than usual which provoked a lot of the strikes. The fish today just did not want to come up for the bait, but when you did get bit it was a good one.

The action was steady all day, but the fish seem to be moving in shallow for the winter and their spawn already.

Tight lines, Captain Brett Isackson.
