Captain Mark Rose had the pleasure of fishing with Don, Dan, and Doc on Lake Erie. These gentlemen were traveling from Ohio in search of some Lake Erie Bronzebacks. This was the start of two fishing adventure that helped them land some quality smallmouth bass. The smallmouth were biting strong on this fishing adventure.

Summertime smallies enjoy artificial baits which is one of the best ways to catch them. The most productive baits on these fishing trips were Galidas Grubz in skipjack and chartreuse, wacky worms, and drop shots. It helped Don, Dan, and Doc land over 60 smallmouth bass in two days of fishing. The biggest fish weighed close to 4.5 pounds. It was Doc’s personal best smallie.

What a great two days for these gentlemen. They were ecstatic with their time on the water and Captain Mark Rose is looking forward to adventuring out with them again soon!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark was out on the water on Lake Erie. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and his wife Diane. They were traveling from Watertown, NY, and wanted to catch some smallmouth bass on Lake Erie. Topwater baits were highly effective and helped land some giant fish.

Bill caught his personal best smallmouth bass on topwater with a 5.1 pounder. Several other quality fish came on Galidas Grubs in skipjack. The weather was beautiful on this trip with temperatures in the 75-78 degree range. If you are looking for some fun in the sun, now is the time to visit this amazing place.

Bill and Diane had a fantastic time exploring Lake Erie. Captain Mark is looking forward to getting them out on the water again soon.
