New Tricks Bass Fishing Trip

New Tricks Bass Fishing Trip

Astor, Florida is a beautiful place to fish when visiting North Florida. The St. Johns River provides great outdoor activities and an opportunity to enjoy a New Tricks Bass Fishing Trip you will remember for a lifetime.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Ron and Lisa who own a home close to the St. Johns River in Astor. They wanted to learn some new techniques and areas on the river to catch largemouth bass.

In the warm months of summer, the early morning is the best time to go fishing. We caught a beautiful 4-pound largemouth within our first couple of casts. Running live shiners under the thick mats is one of the most effective techniques when fishing the river.

Ron and Lisa were looking for New Tricks and techniques for them to fish when they go out fishing on their own boat. We focused in on thick mats as well as shell beds where the bass like to bed in the winter and forge in the summer.

Ron and Lisa had a great trip out on the River and we hope to help them again in the future.
