Captain Brent had the pleasure of fishing with Michael and his son on Lake Tarpon for a quick 4-hour charter. They were traveling to Florida looking to get away and spend time in the outdoors. While doing so, they wanted to get on the water and change things up. A Lake Tarpon fishing charter was a great option for them. Weather conditions were perfect for a productive day of bass fishing.

The action was constant all trip long. They boated over 25 largemouth bass in their quick fishing trip in around 6 feet of water. As the trip went on, the outside grass lines held some better fish. They caught several fish over 5 pounds on both wild-caught shiners and lipless crankbaits.

Another Great Day

That afternoon, Captain Brent was back out on the water with another father-son duo. Tom and his son were traveling from Illinois looking to catch quality largemouth bass. While visiting Tarpon Springs, they wanted to get out bass fishing on Lake Tarpon.

The winds were blowing on this fishing trip but that did not stop the bass from eating. Tom and his son had a great bite all afternoon. After several minutes of the trip started, they put some quality fish in the boat. Tom got out fished by his son. Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective method for catching bass. Most of the fish were on the first drop-off. Tom’s son caught a bass over 6 pounds and one close to 5 on this fishing trip.

It was a great day on the water for these guys. Tom and his son are looking forward to their next fishing trip on Lake Tarpon with Captain Brent!
