I had the pleasure to have two trips to Lake Ida this Fall. The morning trip was with Dan who really wanted to experience an artificial bite on Lake Ida. Our afternoon trip was with Dawson and his family who were in store for a great fishing adventure.
Dan wanted to search and hunt for peacock and largemouth bass on his trip. He wanted to use artificial baits to catch them as well. Jerk and spinnerbaits put several quality bass in the boat. Dan had a fantastic time out on the water and is looking forward to coming back to do it again soon.
On our second trip out in the afternoon, we had a much different outcome. Dawson a young 13-year-old and his family had a blast catching all the major species of fish on the Lake Ida Chain.
They had a fantastic trip catching over 25 peacock bass, 6 largemouth bass, and 1 clown knife fish. Dawson caught a Lake Ida slam and couldn’t have been more excited. This kind of action can make you addicted to the sport forever.
