I had the pleasure of fishing with John and Diane who were traveling from Illinois. This was their first-ever fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee. They loved to just absorb all the various wildlife and scenery the lake had to offer.
The late summer months can either be really great or a little slow. The bite today was steady but slow. We made a few key adjustments to different locations and different techniques which really helped put some decent quality in the boat.
John and Diane caught a dozen largemouth bass weighing up to 4 pounds. They really enjoyed the fight and pull the bass had, even though the water was so warm.
They had a really great time on the water and they are looking forward to coming back to enjoy more of this great action on Lake Okeechobee. We will create more memories, one fish at a time.
