Nice day on the lake We went out for a 4 hour tour with DJ. DJ was a great captain and taught us some things about bass fishing we never knew. Fish weren’t biting too much for us but we all managed to catch a fish or two. Would definitely like to come back when the fish are biting a little more.

Iguana hunt Had a great time with DJ super friendly guy and very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing and what he’s looking for. He’s a very honest person on what he does and not out for ur money but out to have a good time with you. we didn’t get a lot of sun in the morning which made the hunt difficult but he still managed to get us on iguanas! I was even able to get one with my bow rig which I never thought was going to be a possibility but not even 10 minutes into the hunt we got plenty of shots off and managed to get some cool pictures! 10/10 will go again!

The Big O DJ, our captain, was so amazing and knowledgeable about Lake Okeechobee and how the fishing was. Despite it being a slow day, we still got on some fish and had a fun time just enjoying the fresh Florida air! Totally booking with him again, he is as professional as a guide could be!

peacock bass fishing with my daughter We had a wonderful day on the water with Capt. DJ. My daughter and I caught about 20 peacocks and a couple largemoth. Since watching a fishing show when i was a kid where they were catching peacock bass on the Amazon I always wanted to go. My daughter started school at FGCU and when researching local fishing (we are from Wisconsin) I discovered I didn't have to go to the Amazon to catch them. They are a lot of fun to catch and beautiful fish.

Good Trip Had a heck of a day out on Okeechobee and caught great size largemouth! We had 3 fish over 5lbs and one just over 4. Caught big fish on both live and artificial bait. DJ was a cool guy and probably will be booking another trip next year.

Great trip for the family Capt DJ Timms took us out for the morning, and helped all 4 of us catch some bass. Only one of the four of us had ever fished with shiners before, and he taught each of us what it took to land a bass. He found a couple good spots, and was able to put every cast in exactly the spot he wanted and where he knew the fish would be. I know it can be hard to support four inexperienced fishermen at one time, and he did it well and with a smile. Thanks for a great day!

Captain DJ Timms is a full-time South Florida fishing guide. He guides for both trophy largemouth bass and Peacock Bass. Capt DJ Timms is a Marine Corps Veteran born and raised in South Florida. While in the Marines, Capt DJ fished Many different bodies of water and learned numerous techniques. Some of those techniques have helped him catch bigger fish, and he is more than willing to teach you.
Capt DJ has over 12 years of tournament bass fishing experience and has been very successful. The leading lakes he focuses on are Lake Okeechobee, the Florida Everglades, Lake Osborne, and the Golden Gate canal system.
Enjoy a comfortable ride aboard a custom-built bay boat explicitly designed for the shallow water and big water where he fishes in South Florida. Capt DJ Timms is powered by a 250 HP four-stroke Yamaha engine for more security and speed. Its navigational electronics include 4 GPS and fish finders with the latest technology. As well as that, there is plenty of room for you to bring whatever you’d like. Capt DJ Timms can accommodate up to five guests.
Capt DJ Timms likes to start early but is flexible with your schedule. He includes a cooler full of ice and bottled water. Also included are the fuel, rods, reels, and all the tackle necessary for a successful day of fishing. The trip ends when you are ready, having a great time. Let’s keep fishing.
