Check out this Florida Peacock Bass Fishing Update:

Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Brett, his brother Reese, and Hope, Brett’s wife-to-be. They were down in South Florida on a family vacation looking to get away and have some fun. Florida peacock bass fishing was a great option for them on the Aerojet Canal System. The bass was biting and they had non-stop action all trip long.

On some trips, the big bass comes out to play and in others, everyone is just having a blast reeling in the fish. Brett, Reese, and Hope had a great time on the water. They caught numbers of peacock bass, largemouth bass, and cichlids. No big ones made it to the boat but all-in-all, it was a productive day on the water.

There was one that got away though. Reese had a BIG fish on that straightened out a hook on an artificial lure. It is not every day that you see that. You know it was a monster fish to have that happen. It would have been nice to see it out of the water and in the hands of Reese but that makes them want to come back for more.

Most of the bass caught weighed between 1-2 pounds. Brett, Reese, and Hope had a fantastic time on the water and are looking forward to their next adventure on the water with Captain Miley!

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Miley was back out on the water. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Brent and his friend Jim. They ventured out on a 4-hour fishing charter on the Aerojet Canal System. Brent lives in Big Pine Key along with the Florida Keys and Jim was visiting. While doing so, Florida peacock bass fishing was a must.

The Keys Peacock Bass

They drove past the Aerojet Canal System and had to get in on the action on their way back. Luckily the bass was biting and they had a wonderful time catching them. There is nothing like cruising down the bank and having the ability to sight-cast and fish for peacock bass. Most of the bass are pulling up and getting into shallow water.

Brent and Jim caught numbers of peacock bass on this fishing trip. The biggest fish weighed in at 4.5 pounds. Nothing beats the bite from a quality and healthy peacock bass. It is super rewarding for Captain Miley to be able to get these guys on some beautiful peacock bass. Captain Miley is looking forward to getting them back on the water soon!
