Belle Glade Florida Bass Fishing Guide Capt Brian Brown
how’s everyone doing this is your Belle Glade Florida Bass Fishing Guide Capt Brian Brown, with a Lake Okeechobee fishing report; today, I was out of the south end of Slims Fish Camp, and I was joined by Phil and his son Jonathan we met up there and decided to go check a couple of new spots that I hadn’t been fishing for a while just to see how things were going and try to find some clean water we’ve got a lot of mud pushing around the lake.
So we took off and got set up on the first spot wasn’t sure how to set up on it for sure and wasn’t sure which way the fishing had been coming and going on. We got anchored down, and heck, I put the first shiner on and put that out there before I can get another rod rigged up we already had a fish on, so it was fast in furious this morning. fact they had a double I finally got that shiner set and got another one set up, and by the time I had all four rods set up we had three fish in the boat, and it was quick for a while.
Then the biting kind of slowed down, but as a bite slowed down, the quality of the fish picked up, and we started getting into some 3 + 4-pound fish as the bite slowed, but when you’re catching up 3 and 4-pound fish every 15 or 20 minutes still pretty good day we gave that about 3 hours, and that bite kind of petered off and so we ran into another had been catching fish it was still pretty dirty but with the sun kind of beating down I think the muddy water warmed up and we got another dozen fish in there just never really got anything real big ones at all.
Call it a Day, and A Good One!
We checked one more clear spot as nice clear water in it and just didn’t do anything there at all but overall it was just an awesome day the weather was phenomenal some sun and cloud mix just that everything you can ask for a great day and they just have an awesome father-son time out on the water and just got to enjoy each other and catch some fish.

Okeechobee History
Lake Okeechobee is about 37 miles long by 30 miles wide, with an average depth of only 10 feet. To fishermen nationwide, it’s renowned for the number of largemouth bass it has per acre. Lake Okeechobee produces more trophy bass over 7 pounds than any lake in Florida and arguably the entire United States.
Lake Okeechobee is positioned in central southern Florida, north of the Everglades and south of Orlando. It links Florida’s Atlantic and Gulf sides via the Port Mayaca Lock on Okeechobee’s east side and the Moore Haven Lock on Lake Okeechobee’s western side. The best Belle Glade Florida Bass Fishing Guide, Capt Brian Brown, knows the drainage canals lower the lake and drain adjacent lands for farming. Agricultural activities in the Central Florida Okeechobee area include cattle ranching, dairy farming, and crop production of sugarcane, winter vegetables, citrus, sod, sweet corn, and rice.
