Captain Mark Shepard had the pleasure of fishing with Ernest and Robert on Lake Okeechobee. They were great friends traveling from Connecticut looking to capitalize on the great bass fishing. In previous days, Lake Okeechobee was experiencing some bad weather but is cleared up for these gentlemen.

Ernest and Robert were both great fishermen. They threw artificial baits all trip long making for some excellent fishing. Together, they caught some nice numbers of quality largemouth bass. Every cast was a blast for them on this beautiful lake. Ernst caught the biggest bass of the trip weighing in at close to 5 pounds.

These gentlemen had a lot of fun on this fishing charter and are looking forward to their next adventure with Captain Mark!!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark was back out on the water with his long-time friend and repeat, Jim Robertson. Lake Okeechobee was really starting to fire upon this fishing trip. Jim was traveling from Texas looking to cash in on the action. Weather conditions stabilized causing the bass to start to eat. 

It was an awesome day on the water for Jim. He caught a lot of quality largemouth bass weighing up to 6 pounds. The bass were biting on both artificial baits and live bait. Crankbaits, top waters, and soft-plastics were effective. As well, you can’t go wrong with wild-caught live shiners!

Jim, as always, is looking forward to his next trip and will be back in several weeks to come to catch more Lake Okeechobee bass with Captain Mark!

It wasn’t long after this fishing trip that Captain Mark Rose was on the water. He had the pleasure of fishing with Dan and his wife Chrissy. They were repeat clients that wanted to experience Lake Okeechobee for the first time. Captain Mark suggested bass fishing out of Belle Glade, FL for a fishing adventure of a lifetime.

Lake Okeechobee treated this lovely couple well. Stable weather and warm temperatures fired up the largemouth bass. Live bait and artificial baits were highly productive on this fishing trip. Chrissy caught her personal best largemouth bass weighing in at 5.5 pounds. They also caught several other fish in the class of 4-5 pounds. Dan caught some quality fish to conclude a fantastic trip on the water.

The sun is shining and the bass are biting. Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with Dan and Chrissy again in the near future!

Finally, Captain Mark Rose went out on the final fishing trip of this Lake Okeechobee fishing update. He had the pleasure of fishing with return client Rich. Rich was traveling from New Jersey looking to spend some time on the water. His last trip was for peacock bass and he loved it. This time he wanted to experience Lake Okeechobee as he heard so much about how big and the quality of bass you could catch.

Lake Okeechobee blessed Rich with a great afternoon of fishing. The weather was not cooperating with rain and overcast but that did not stop the bass from biting. Rich caught his personal best largemouth bass on this fishing trip weighing in at 6.01 pounds. He also caught several quality fish weighing over 4 pounds.

The south end of the lake out of Belle Glade was very productive on this fishing trip. Rich is looking forward to his next adventure with Captain Mark Rose in the near future!
