Amazing Bass Fishing Action

Here is your Central Florida Bass Fishing Update:

Captain John had the pleasure of fishing with Skip and Carl. These clients were traveling to Florida to getaway. Bass fishing is also a major part of the plans. Captain Brent suggested Kenansville Lake for two amazing days of fishing. The action was non-stop both days on the water.

Skip and Carl had a blast catching big numbers of fish. They landed over 85 largemouth bass in two trips. Skip caught the largest one weighing 8.1 pounds. The bass are in a post-spawn pattern making them hungry and aggressive to eat. Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective method on this fishing trip.

Captain Brent is looking forward to his next adventure with these awesome fishermen!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Brent had the pleasure of fishing with repeat clients Dave and his friend Joseph. They were traveling to Florida to enjoy some time in the outdoors. Captain Brent took them to two incredible fishing lakes in Central Florida. Kenansville Lake and Lake Jackson are big bass factories in Central Florida.

The first day was spent on Lake Jackson and it was a good one. At the start of the day, the bite was slower than normal. When the sun came up, the action started to get good. Dave and Joseph caught over 20 bass on this fishing trip. Three of those fish were over 7 pounds. The shallow water near Lillies was the most productive area to fish with live bait. 

On the second trip, Captain Brent took these great friends to Kenansville Lake. The action was stronger on this lake. Dave and Joseph caught a larger number of bass than the last trip boating over 40. Most of the fish caught were solid bass weighing from 3-5 pounds. The two biggest bass weighed in at 6.12 pounds and 6.9 pounds. Most of the bass were caught on artificial speed worms and swim jigs.

Dave and Joseph had a blast catching all those fish with Captain Brent. Captain Brent is looking forward to their next adventure in the near future!

It wasn’t long after these trips that Captain John Leech explored the waters of Central Florida. He had the pleasure of fishing with Ken and Ty who were traveling to Florida for some big bass. Well they got what they came for catching more bass than they thought on Lake Jackson.

Captain John brought out 8 dozen shiners and they were throwing them in 4 hours. Ken and Ty caught over 50 largemouth bass with the biggest weighing close to 7 pounds. It was a great day on the water. You can’t beat steady action and big bass! The conditions were perfect with a cool breeze and slight cloud cover.

Ken and Ty had a fantastic time fishing in Central Florida. Captain John is looking forward to fishing with these guys again in the near future!
