Topwater Bass Fishing Charters

North Florida is an excellent place for a Florida Outdoor Adventure. It has an abundance of wildlife and preserves you can experience daily. Topwater Bass Fishing Charters is one of the many Florida Fishing activities you can partake in.

I enjoyed fishing with Tom and Dan, who were traveling from Maine. We enjoyed a beautiful trip out on the St. Johns River. They have experienced Lake Okeechobee and wanted to travel north to see what the river offers.

A drop in the river’s water level slowed the bite. However, we were able to work with the wind and produce fish. We caught a couple of largemouth bass before we switched our technique.

The hybrid striped bass were active on the river. The numbers were not as great as usual due to the change in conditions. They had a blast, though, catching the hybrids and largemouth bass.

Topwater baits and my very own steel shad lure caught most of the fish today. Swimming a Bass Assassin, “Logger Toad,” along the grass edges caught multiple largemouth bass. As well as trick worms later in the day.

Tom and Dan had a lot of fun fishing the St. Johns River and will be back for more action. They even wanted to go saltwater fishing out of Daytona Beach next time they are down next year.
