Captain Brian had the ultimate pleasure of fishing with Jesse and Kyle. Kyle was just getting back into fishing since he spent some time serving our country. Summer was the perfect time to come visit from New York to enjoy some warm weather.

Since Kyle was a fisherman and loved to bass fish, they started out the day throwing artificial baits. Okeechobee City produced big time as Jesse and Kyle caught them up on swim jigs and spinner baits. The bass are in the outer edge of the weeds feeding on shad early in the morning. Once the sun peaks up, it is game on for some summer Florida bass fishing.

One of the best parts about bass fishing in the summer time is the ability to watch bass school on bait. The action is hot and heavy early in the morning. Once you catch a good number of schooling bass and the sun peaks out further, you might have to slow down a little more and pitch some reeds.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is producing some quality numbers of largemouth bass these summer months. Jesse and Kyle are looking forward to getting back out on the water next time they visit.
