Strong Bite Out On Lake Ida
This is Capt Mike Groshon with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
I had the pleasure to fish with Bill and Katie from Chicago, Illinois. This was the first time fishing for peacock bass, the weather was a bit of a challenge with lots of clouds and strong winds after a few adjustments, we found the strong bite and they ended up with around 30 fish on the boat with the mix of peacock and largemouth bass. It was a fantastic trip, they were awesome to fish with and I look forward to fishing with them again in the future. Captain Mike Groshon was raised in Northern Virginia, he grew up fishing lakes and rivers in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia then like most headed south for warmer weather and bigger fish!
