Pre-Fishing Lake Okeechobee for Largemouth Bass

Pre-Fishing Lake Okeechobee for Largemouth Bass

This is Capt Brian Brown with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

I had the pleasure to go out Pre-Fishing Lake Okeechobee for Largemouth Bass with Mike and Al. They are coming back down here in like a week and wanted to get in some pre-fishing before they do. Blue-bird skies could be a doubled edged sword when there are 20 mph winds present.

We traveled and cruised around a bit. I wanted to find some new spots that I could put them on when they came back with their friends. The shiner fishing lured smaller fish at first. This kept us busy for the whole trip, as we moved around to find the honey hole with the big girls.

We found this one spot that produced fish consistently. We caught the little ones and got those out of the way and then they both got their quality fish relatively quick. The largest fish was 5 and 1/2 pounds and the other one was right under or at 5.

Pre-Fishing Lake Okeechobee was a success and they found what they were looking for. I can’t wait for them to come back with all their buddies. We had a great time out on the water today. The lake is super healthy and looking beautiful as always.
This is the best time of year to come down and catch the fish of your dreams. See you on the water!
