Captain Joe Gruny had the pleasure of fishing with Bill, Paul, and Damian on a peacock bass adventure in Miami’s Airport Lakes. They were traveling to this awesome place from New Jersey. While on vacation, bass fishing was one thing they really wanted to do. After two days of fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Mark Shepard, they switched it up and came further south.

The pressure was on Captain Joe to deliver some excellent peacock bass fishing. It may not have been the strongest start for these men but the peacock bass did not disappoint. By the end of the day, Bill, Paul, and Damian all caught quality trophy peacock bass. We may have had to move to several different spots but they got what they came for.

Everyone was happy with the catches and they are looking forward to their next adventure with Captain Joe in the near future!

Mission Peacock Bass Fishing 1It was not long after this awesome fishing adventure that Captain Robert Miley was on the water at Airport Lakes. He had the pleasure of fishing with Sandy and his friend. Sandy is a long-time repeat client that generally loves to fish on Lake Ida Chain. On this fishing trip, they switched it up and wanted to travel to Miami to catch some larger bass.

It surely was an awesome day with a lot of big fish. The weather was perfect for a day on the water. Sandy and his friend caught countless numbers of peacock bass with no fish under 2 pounds. The biggest bass weighed 4.5 pounds. One of the tricky parts about fishing for peacock bass is that you have to be patient for the bite. If you can, the reward is plentiful.

Captain Robert is looking forward to their next adventure in Miami in the near future!
