Captain Brent had the pleasure of spending some time on the water in search of some big bass. Lake Toho Bass Fishing was the best activity to find bigger fish. If you are looking for bigger bass, the golden shiner is most certainly the way to go. Trophy-classed fish have been coming off shiners along with artificial baits. The Steel Shad Topwater Minnow has been a very effective lure to bring in some big fish.

If you are exploring the waters of Florida during the warmer months of the year, plan on getting up early. The best bite is during the early morning hours with topwater baits. Late afternoon water temperatures are in the low 90s pushing the fish into deeper water. When the sun is just coming up, the bass pull into shallow weed lines and Kissimmee grass.

Now is the time to capitalize on your adventure and Captain Brent would love to get you on some big fish!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Devin Dickerson had the pleasure of exploring Lake Toho with Dave. It was a quick 4-hour fishing trip in the morning with both live bait and artificial lures. Dave was traveling to Florida looking to spend some time in the outdoors but did not expect to have this great of a time.

Dave landed over 30 bass on his fishing trip with the largest weighing 4.5 pounds. Most of the fish were caught with wild-caught live shiners over submerged vegetation on the main lake. Artificial baits were mixed in as well in the deeper water along the edges with creature baits. The most effective way to rig your creature baits is Texas-rigged!

Dave had a fantastic time fishing on Lake Toho. Captain Brent is looking forward to getting out on the water again with him soon!
