Amazing Captain Capt Mark took me and my family out on part of the everglade canals for 2 days and it was beyond belief! We caught fish just about every cast and a big variety of fish. Peacock Bass Fishing in Naples Booked a half day with CAPT Mark Rogers and we were catching fish on our first casts. We mainly caught Peacock Bass but also got some nice Largemouth Bass and Mayan Cichlids. Will book with Mark again to try out some other Florida waters.

It was my first time Such a great trip experience with Captain Mark! It was my first time catching Peacock Bass and I could not be happier with the day we had catching all day. Mark was very knowledgeable on the area and easy to talk to about all things fishing. September 11 Fishing with Grandson My 22 year old grandson from Minnesota flew down for the weekend of September 11 to fish for Peacock Bass in the Golden Gate Canals. The water temperature was high at 89 degrees, so not prime fishing for Peacock Bass. Even so, on a 6-hour trip fishing with shiners for bait, we managed to catch approximately 14 Peacock Bass and several nice sized Mayan Cichlids. Captain Mark is a pleasant knowledgeable fisherman and was concerned about "putting us on fish". Both my grandson and I enjoyed conversing with him. Once he reads this review he will find out that I plan on booking him again for a Peacaock Bass trip the 3rd week of January 2022. Fantastic experience! Captain Mark Rogers was amazing! We caught 26 fish! Most were peacocks but we also caught a tarpon and some cichlids. Captain Mark knew his stuff and was the perfect guide. I would highly recommend him!

Great Peacock Trip With Mark Rogers My 16 year old brother in law wanted to catch a peacock bass so I I booked a trip with Mark Rogers. I did not know what to expect, but I was very impressed with Mark. We fished with live shiners and caught around 40 peacock bass. He mentioned that there were tarpon in the canals we were fishing and when I told him I wanted to try catching one, he made it happen! My brother in law caught a small tarpon. All in all, the trip was everything I could’ve asked for and more!! Besides being a great guide, Mark was also just a really nice guy, and was willing to go with the flow. 10/10 would recommend!!

Trip of a lifetime We booked a fishing trip with Capt Mark Rogers today. There were 4 of us in the boat, and we were on the peacock bass all day and caught a huge Mayan Cichlid. You definitely won't leave his boat without a couple of peacock bass on the line.

Life Long Dream Come True!!!!! Capt. Mark was incredibly experienced and very knowledgeable about the lake. Our day was far from perfect fishing weather, however Capt. Mark knew exactly where to take us so that we would have the most opportunities to catch fish. He is a great guide and would probably do well as a comedian too!! The whole experience from booking to fishing was definitely a 5 star experience!!

Not happy at all I booked a shiner fishing trip for March 2 on the big O. I opted for a trip out of Clewiston with Mark Rodgers. NEVER AGAIN! I specifically stated shiner fishing because we don't do that at home and my wife likes it. We spent an easy one third of our time launching and going to buy bait. It was clear after we started the guide does not like shiner fishing. He seemed to have no honey holes in mind just random stops. I wasted my money. I have fished with a lot of guides over the years but none like this one. Zero personality and not fun. Very disappointed in the trip. I think I could have done better on my own. I fish about 80 to 100 days a year and if not for the logistics involved would have done just that.

The entire experience was outstanding. From those we booked through, to Captain Mark Rogers. We fished the Everglades and caught a ton of fish. Also saw lots of gators. This was our second time fishing with Captain Mark, and look forward to the next.

Bass fishing with Captain Mark Rogers Fished Okeechobee on Jan 19-20, 2021 with Captain Mark Rogers. Mark has been fishing Okeechobee for over 20 years. He knows where the fish are and when. Mark is a teacher and you can tell he enjoys what he is doing. We caught several 3 - 7lbs bass and had a very enjoyable time. Mark is very interesting to talk to and has a wealth of knowledge in his craft. The equipment you use is excellent. His boat is clean and awesome to be in. The trolling motor is operated by remote so the Captain can operate without being in the way of you fishing. The boat has the Minn Kota Talon anchor system that makes you feel like you are fishing on dry land and not moving up and down with the chop. You feel like your in a Saturday morning fishing show being out on that lake. I am not a fisherman, but I felt like one of the best after this trip. You will be extremely happy to have Mark as your Okeechobee Captain. I am a salesman and brought a customer with me on this trip. I have never seen or felt a 7lbs large mouth bass on the end of my line, but my customer has and I would bet that you will too with Mark as your captain. Thank you Mark on a wonderful trip!! I will be back.

Captain Mark Rogers was awesome! We fished the everglades for Peacock bass (which we had never caught before) and caught plenty. I'm embarrassed too say when unhooking one I hooked my thumb past the barb for the first time in my 50 years of fishing! Mark had done this before and got the hook out almost like you'd pull a loose tooth. A little bleeding, I cleaned it with some fresh water and a band aid and that was it. A day later and the opening was basically healed. Great fishing guide and just a good dude!

Salute Captain Mark Took my sons on a Peacock Bass Trip in Naples Fl with Bass on line and Captain Mark Rogers. Captain but us on bass immediately once we got to our location. In a four hour trip we landed around 30 Peacock Bass and a couple other species. Captain Mark Rogers was an outstanding guide with years of experience from competing as a professional bass angler to his years of guiding clients. I will absolutely use Bass On Line again and I will be requesting Captain Mark Rogers for future trips in that area.

Challenging but rewarding Captain Mark Rogers was great, he knew I preferred to fish artificial baits, and equipped with that information, he navigated us into the grass where the morning bite was good. When that began to taper, he was quick to move our location in an attempt to find the fish amidst the glaring mid day sun. He was a great source of knowledge and had no qualms about sharing it (I asked A LOT of questions). To wrap up the day, we spent the last hour or so winding down fishing shiners, while being accompanied by a family of Manatees, who seemed to be intrigued by our presence, as they were within inches of the boat at times. The day climaxed when I landed a monster 7.5 pounder! I will not hesitate to book with Mark again in the future.

Great fishing Lake O My wife, 2 teenage sons and I had a great afternoon fishing Lake Okeechobee with Captain Mark Rogers. He had a nice boat that fit us all and he was very fun to fish with. We fish for Bass in Michigan, but mainly with artificial bait. We fished Lake O with Live bait. It was different, but fun. Capt Mark took time to teach us how to hook the big bass. We fished multiple spots to keep the action going. We caught enough to make us want to go back and we will definitely go with Capt Mark again.

St. Valentines Day Bassacre A friend and I booked Mark Rogers on February 14 (expensive bail-out dinner with wives followed). I spoke with Mark 2 nights before and he recommended the Everglades, saying 50 to 80 bass days were not uncommon of late - unusual for a guide to set such a high bar, but he seemed confident. Mark delivered. We easily caught over 100 bass. Mark provided a perfect balance of direction and giving us the space to let us fish. He assisted when necessary and gave polite suggestions when our skills lacked. I have been out with Bass-online a number of times and all the guides have been great. Mark is a great guy, and delivered a great day!

Cold Front not a problem. On the morning of my trip it was only 41* even a bit chilly of this Minnesotan. I fished with Capt Mark Rogers. He was everything one could ask for. On time, very friendly, his boat and gear were in perfect working condition and he put me on fish. We fished with live shiners something I have never done before. This also was my first time in Florida and a first for the BigO. Mark put me on fish right away. I caught a lot of bass and I also caught a 5 lb. catfish. My biggest bass was a nice 5+ not what I was looking for but two of the fish I lost bringing them to the boat were exactly what I was looking for. Mark did everything in his power to try and get the monster I was looking for. I had a wonderful time Mark was very knowledgeable about the lake and the surrounding area. I didn't know they burned the cane fields before they harvested. I would recommend Capt Mark Rogers for your fishing adventure. I will sure ask for him on future adventures.

But that wasn't going to be a problem, not much different than springtime fishing at home. I fished with guide Mark Rogers. He was everything anyone could ask for. (I did get a giggle about all the clothes he wore to go out, bibs parka, hat and face mask) But he isn't from Minnesota so he gets a bye on that one. His boat and gear were all in perfect working condition. We fished with live shiners. I had never fished with them before, this also was my first time in Florida and fishing the BigO. The action was almost nonstop. I caught a lot of bass and I even caught a 5 lb. catfish. My biggest bass was a nice 5+ not really what I was looking for but two of the fish I lost coming to the boat were sure the ones I was looking for. Mark was great to fish with very knowledgeable about the lake and things around the surrounding area. I would recommend using him for your fishing adventure. PB (Personal Best) I’m an avid Bass angler, own a bass boat, and fish 2-3x a week. My intentions on booking a trip to Lake Okeechobee this winter were to #1 have a memorable experience, #2 learn new techniques and #3 hopefully land a new PB (Personal Best) at one of the ‘hottest’ lakes in the country! Well fortunately all 3 expectations were met and exceeded as my father and I had a memory-filled and exciting 2 days with Captain Mark Rogers. His knowledge and expertise on the lake showed as he found us quite a few honey holes where we would pull one after another bass out of. It seemed like the spots he took us to kept replenishing and the fish would not stop biting! My dad was able to land his biggest largemouth bass ever at 7.0 lbs and also stuck a 6.4 and several 4-pound class fish! He was using live shiners which were like throwing out a magic bait because every cast the fish would just destroy it! I myself used artificial and even though the bite was a little slow after a major cold front, Mark was still able to get me on fish and I even stuck a monster 8+ pounder, but unfortunately lost her at the boat! All in all, this was an experience of a lifetime and I would recommend Captain Mark Rogers to anyone looking to have a fun-filled day, learn new techniques, be assured of catching fish and have a fishing trip with lasting memories.

best days of fishing I've ever had Just a note to let you know that my trip with Capt Mark was one of the best days of fishing I've ever had in my life and since I've been around a long long time this is no small thing. Mark put me over some great fish and I caught the largest bass of my fishing career with him. I have attached a photo of it for you if it is of any use to you. I also took a shot of Mark with the fish with his BassOnline cap. On our first day, we caught probably something like 80 fish and none were small. I believe that had we been fishing a tournament, we'd have been in the money with our five biggest fish - probably 21 22 lbs. And I lost another hawg late in the day. Our second day was a bit slower but steadier through the day. I'd say we got something like 60 fish between us and both of us lost big fish. Of all the times I've used BassOnline, fishing with Mark was by far the most enjoyable. While I am an experienced angler I have tended to fish with limited variability in style. Mark took the time to help me try different techniques, and understand why we were fishing the way we were using the tackle he suggested. I found the trip educational. I think I'm a better angler for it and I'll test that theory out in a few weeks when Bass season opens in Ontario. I'll let you know. Anyway thanks again for a great trip and my gratitude to Capt Mark. He did a great job and represented your company extremely well. All the best
